PAULINA - MASSAGE THERAPIST
Paulina graduated with an Honours Degree in Sociology from McMaster University, and pursued her post-graduate studies in Marketing Management from Humber College. Upon graduation she accepted a job within the health field, where she discovered an interest for the body and the intricacy of its systems.
With Paulina's own postural struggles, and the desire to help people become more in tune with their bodies, Paulina went on to study Massage Therapy at the Ontario College of Heath and Technology.
Paulina is a strong believer that maintaining an optimal state of health and well-being starts from an early age. In addition to being an RMT, Paulina is also an Infant Massage Instructor, treating children through various stages of development, and teaching parents on how to massage their children at home. In her spare time, Paulina enjoys watching cheesy reality shows, spinning and designing jewellery.
Karen - Massage Therapist
Karen has a BSc. (Biochemistry) from McMaster University and graduated in 2015 with Honours from Trillium College (Diploma in Massage Therapy). She is certified in acupuncture and can perform acupuncture treatments within the scope of practice of massage therapy. As a part-time instructor of Massage Therapy at TriOS College in Hamilton, Karen stays current on techniques and industry requirements.
Massage therapy allows Karen to combine two interests – helping people and a fascination of the human body. Treatments are assessment-based and customized to meet each client’s specific needs. In addition to general Swedish massage techniques, Karen incorporates fascial work, joint play, trigger point therapy and remedial exercises, as required. Karen is passionate about teaching her clients about the human body so they have some understanding of how it works and approaches to help it heal and prevent injury.
Karen is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
